My first publication in Slovak
My paper on theories regarding the role of religion in the Yugoslav wars has now appeared in a bilingual Slovak edition.
The paper, first published by the Donner Institute in Åbo in 2006–7 (Moe 2006), appears in a collection on Religions in the Balkans edited by Michaela Moravčíková and published by Slovakia’s Institute for State-Church Relations. I am thrilled to be published in Slovak for the first time (Moe 2007a). I have made a few minor revisions in the English version (Moe 2007b), which was republished with the kind permission of the Donner Institute’s editor.
I just received a copy of the book, which also includes chapters on:
- comparing Bosnian Muslim and Christian religiosity, by Miran Lavrič and Sergej Flere
- new dimensions of the sacred, by Maria Serafimova
- religiosity in Kosovo, by Anton Berishaj
- Serb-Romanian Orthodox relations, by Ionut Corduneanu
- Serbia’s religion law, by Aleksandra Basa
- anti-fascism and religion, by Marko Orsolić
- reconciliation in BiH, by Tanja Wettach
- multiethnic religious history in BiH, by the editor
- Montenegro in transformation, by Zorica Kuburić
- religious landmark protection law, by Wolfgang Wieshaider
- security in the Western Balkans, by Elemír Nečej
I look forward to reading it!
